hi, this is dr. hourglass, and welcome toanother video in our channel wonder breasts. today we are going to discuss breast asymmetries. in this channel we discuss everything related to breast surgery. welcome back! one of the most frustrating part of being a plastic surgeon is getting women to understand that their breasts aresisters, not twins. what do i mean by this? whenever you have a breast augmentation, youneed to understand that prior to surgery, 100% of women on earth have some sort of asymmetry in their breasts,

and this is absolutely normal. it is not that i am criticizing; it is just the way it is, the way god makes everybody. every part of the body is asymmetric. asymmetries can come in many different forms. minor asymmetries can be a slightly larger areola on one side, nipples that are asymmetric and slightly difference in volume, sagginess in one breast, constricted breast on one side, mismatch in the inframammary fold, mismatch in the lateral mammary fold, breast tissue distribution in different quadrants among others. why is it important?

because women who have breast augmentation will be looking at their breasts 24/7, and if you do not realize your breasts were asymmetric before surgery, you are going to be concerned that your breastsare not the same after surgery. if your breasts had some sort of asymmetry prior to surgery, you will have similar asymmetries after surgery. there are certain things that the surgeoncannot control, like the location of your cleavage and the location of the origin of your breasts, among other things. the surgeon can only control the volume. in my experience, most of the time i tend to put different implant sizes

on different breasts to try to matchthe volume the best i can. prior to surgery, i discuss it with the patients, show them the asymmetries that i see before surgery, and make sure they understand that the breastsare not going to be twins, but sisters that look very much alike. one of the things that i address about asymmetry is that if the breasts have more than 50 to 75 cc of volume difference, this asymmetry needs to be corrected; if we use similar implants, you are going to look lopsided after surgery. i use a breast sizer on the bigger breast to determine the implant volume

and then insert a bigger implant in the smaller breast to try to match the volume. understanding breast asymmetry is crucialbefore you have any breast enhancement procedure. after surgery, you are going to be lookingat yourself 24/7, and if you do not accept the fact that your breasts are slightly asymmetricafter surgery, you are going to be extremely dissatisfied with the procedure. when i say asymmetric, i mean minor things that most likely only you will notice. certainly, if there is a significant asymmetry prior to surgery, it is important for the plastic surgeon to try to correct this to have a better outcome and a happy patient.

so here's after one month of usingnaturaful. well actually, a little bit more than a month as life gets crazy and ifinished off my jar before being able to get a new one. so there's a bit of a gapand when i've been using it. here's the empty jar. as you can see,there's been a lot of progress made. recently i- so i started out as a 28 dcup with like, no cleavage and i recently bought a new bra that is a 28 double d and not long after having it, it was clear that i needed to go up a size. based on my most recent measurements, i should be wearing a 28 f bra which is crazy! and keep in mind the f sounds huge but it ison the twenty-eight band size so it's all relative but still, it's a hugeimprovement from where i was. so i'm really happy with the results so far andi'm really excited to keep using this product.
