all about breast augmentation

hi, i'm dr. frank lista, and i'm answeringsome questions that patients ask me here at the plastic surgery clinic. so, i had a patientcome see me today, a young woman, 25 years old, not yet married, never had children,who wanted to know, "what's the story with breast implants and pregnancy?" and how will implants change her breasts? so, first of all, we know that breast implantsdon't affect having a baby at all. they don't affect the baby, it doesn't interfere withbreastfeeding in any way, especially when you put the implant behind the muscle, andit doesn't interfere with childbirth. so the other question is how do breast implants affectyour breasts while you're pregnant or after you're pregnant? what will your breasts looklike after you have a baby? and the answer

is that there's a new study, which has justbeen published in the plastic surgery journals, which shows that breast implants don't affectthe look of your breasts in any way. so breast implants won't make your breasts look worseafter you've had children. in fact, what i say to my patients is that your breasts willalways look better than if you had never had breast implants. so if you had a twin sister,and you had the operation and she didn't, you both were pregnant at the same time, yourbreasts, or the augmented breasts, will always look better than the patient who never hadbreast augmentation. so the answer is - and studies prove - that breast implants willnot affect the look of the breast after pregnancy and childbirth. you will always look betterthan if you had nothing else done. i'm dr.
